ashthekid Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Is there such a product that is basically a double socket that fits perfectly into a brick slot? So the box is flush rather that sticking out? 1
Onoff Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Is this for external use or an internal brick feature?
Onoff Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Round Lewden sockets maybe? You could core drill the brick to go around it? Take into account mortar bed above and below the brick to gain height?
Marvin Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 (edited) Might be a bit of a challenge as usually the cover goes down over the plug and cable to give it water protection. If the face of the cover was flush how would the cable come out? Edited November 12, 2021 by Marvin
Roundtuit Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 I bought standard outdoor sockets and let them back into the brick as far as possible, but you still end up with about 30mm + sticking out of the wall to allow for the front to hang up, cable access etc 1

Yes this is for external use but i don't like the bulky standard outdoor sockets that would stick right out on the brick wall surface. @Roundtuit That makes a lot of sense, at least that would get rid of some that bulk. I don't mind them sticking out a little bit.

Nickfromwales Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 For the flash people out there, the Lewden offering could be in a box made from cement board and covered i sacrificial brick slips, which could be 'dismantled' if the socket ever failed.
