Hi guys,

 

Any Structural Engineer recommendations for my ICF Basement?

Have you asked your ICF supplier?  We used Polarwall and they gave me a couple of recs.

They have recommended someone but we're looking to change as we're not happy with him. 

I'm forever chasing him......more often than not he doesn't reply to emails or return calls. I put him in touch with the Architect and Timber Frame Co weeks ago......no contact.

Sounds like a nice guy when i do eventually talk to him but i need to move things on.

Fair enough.  Some systems are more adaptable to different reinforcing etc so best to have someone who has worked with it before.  It is so annoying when you don't get emails and calls returned, but commonplace I am afraid.

I used Brian Peacock of Gurney consultants who have done plenty of work with Nudura if that helps...

If still looking I can provide details of mine. The main guy was not easiest to contact or get along with but the day to day chap is excellent. I'm building Nudura on a bit of a complex site so a lot of SE involvement.

How did you get on with polar wall I am considering it for my build. Did you do an insulated raft foundation as well?

Any more recommendation for a Structural Engineer for an ICF Build, looking for a comparative quote.
