I need to buy replacement floor and wall tiles for 3 bathrooms which were incorrectly installed (new build) under an insurance claim. The existing tiles are Porcelanosa but not made anymore.

My budget is up to the cost of the original tiles - which leaves it quite open!

The only issue I have is that I don’t know any tiling companies aside from Porcelanosa. I would REALLY appreciate recommendations on quality tile companies please.

many thanks ?

There are lots - @nod can point you at the good and bad (which is usually by country) then you can decide. If the insurer is paying, why not go with Porcelanosa.

I heard of a company called Porcelain Tiles through this forum, and subsequently have chosen tiles from them for my own bathroom.

I then heard more and more positive feedback from tilers who used them.

Maybe worth a try?

Tiles made in Italy are  fired for longer and are the best prints Tougher and better to work with

Spanish tiles are the next level

Then comes Turkish and Portuguese

Some of the Turkish are on par with Spanish

Stay away from tiles made in China

Brazil UAE also

This is a cheat sheet of mainstream italian manufacturers I put together some time ago.   A lot of U.K. resellers rebrand tiles though, so it may not be easy to shop brand-first, good for inspiration though.

Paraneria Group
 - Cotte D'Este (https://www.cottodeste.it/)
 - BlueStyle (https://www.blustyle.it/)

@Dan F

Have you found you can purchase directly from these manufacturers? Or still have to go through the UK reseller?

Many of the above are made at the same factories

When it comes to Italian tiles Big is best

Marrizzi are the tiles I use the most Design and quality are second to none Lead times are the shortest and an absolute no quibble guarantee

One of my personal favorites is Ricchetti

Superb tiles at Spanish tile prices

You can usually tell an Italian tile without looking at the back The glaze runs to the bottom edge Preventing chipping

and the designs are more vivid and varied

Also from a fixing point of view They are flat and cut better

We are normally around 30 for the Italian and under 20 for Spanish floor tiles Some companies specify Tiles adhesive supply under £70m2 and A1 job

You work with what you have

Some will sell direct I think, but I'd be easier, if you want to avoid the large markup in UK, to use an Italian reseller.  Italian resellers work on lower margins and some may even arrange transport for you too. @Balraj Appadu did this.

We used a UK reseller and negotiated price down, primarily as this was fairly soon after brexit and our main contractor didn't want any additional risks.

I found that many Italian resellers would find you the tiles at a great discount as compared to UK resellers where the mark up is stratospheric!

Just look at tile look.com for resellers in Italy

Just adding if someone is searching and finds this useful. We chose Pentagon tiles - London and Harlow show rooms - not the cheapest but stunning choice and amazing customer service. Recommended by our builder. Our first lot of floor tiles were not quite what we expected based on show room sample. We chose them as it was a quicker delivery time but they were not our first choice. No problem changing them to our initial choice. Rare not to get a kick back.  Ask for Daniel Hann. I will add some photos once completed.

Ask a tiler :) Ours told us the place to go to get good quality. He had no affiliation to them other than finding their stock to be good quality.
