Planning for a cabin in Skye !

Hi,

 

Been lurking around here for a while and found there is a wealth of information!

 

We have a plot in mind on Skye, our idea is something along the lines of a cabin\bothy type construction. Will probably be posting quite a lot here.

I think @Crofter is away on his travels but he built a small house on Skye.

Have you had a look at the other islands?  Skye has the bridge but it's quite a busy place now. The North 500 route was an almost too good as a marketing excercise as so many folk are doing it.

 

I have family on Tiree. It's quite an affluent Island but there are others where the land is cheeper. Of course you can't just nip up as the Ferries are often off in the winter and so on but for some that is an attraction.

Questions will follow ? We had a trip a while back to Tiree it was lovely, we do tend to try and keep an eye out for plots anywhere in the islands and north of scotland. We keep coming back to Skye though, we've been visiting for the last 20 years and your right, it's a busy place now !
