NIBE ashp

Hi 

I want to buy a NIBE ASHP and get it installed by the plumber who is experienced and has fitted quite a few while working for a company specialising in renewables

i do have some questions about whether NIBE does heating and cooling?

where can I buy a NIBE for a plumber install?

Maybe the experienced plumber can buy one from the plumbers merchants where he will have an account.

Interestingly, I was in my local plumbers merchants and asked which ASHP they stocked, answer was none! Loads of boilers but not a single ASHP.

Nu-Heat do supply only on Nibe ASHP's.

Nibe are expensive for what they are. Look at alternatives.

Any recommendations?  For me ideally it would be able to reverse for cooling and have simple controls in the 5kw range.

They can sell any old boiler to the plumber that buys the heating pack and throws them in with little thought.

 

No point in having a heat pump sitting on a shelf, doesn’t mean they can’t buy in for you just like any other non standard item

i have been looking at alternative but currently the lead times on many ASHP in excess of 6 weeks for some even like 6 months for Ecodan. As I do not to pay for excessive installation costs given RHI needing MCS certification - licence to print money as far as I am concerned( in excess of £2K for installation with a preplumbed cylinder!!, I am trying to find something which my plumber can install

Any ideas for a 7-9kW ASHP with cooling and heating function easy to fit

I've recently bought a Cool Energy 9.5kW unit and it was easy to instal and has a pretty intuitive controller. Temperatures can be set freely for heating or cooling...

so £2k install for all the system including tank and heat pump isn’t that excessive if you think this is a full tank install plus external unit and all pipework and electrics.  There is probably a good day for internal and external for two people, and another day to sort your internal pipework and wiring etc. 
 

Commissioning is half a day, and you potentially need to link into a heating system too, so that’s day 4 complete. 
 

So at £2k, that’s £500 a day for two people to run a business, pay for tools, van, insurance and the tax and NI. 
 

Doesn’t sound expensive to me.
