Won't you have a mare trying to fit that vent on the mvhr? It's right on the join between flat and vaulted.

Yeah - I said that ?

It won’t fit . So ! I might cheat . The ‘cap’ fits in the mvhr pipe with no over hang so I could use that with some holes drilled in SWMBO will never know ! . Or see if ‘rimless’ ones exist ....

Oh ffs ! There aren’t any rimless ones !

It was a pig to get in because the access to move it was only available from inside the ensuite hence the positioning !

@Mr Punter gets the blame again ! . It was fine where it was before for a vent cover !

???

Could I maybe 3D print you something? Just made my mate an insert to go on his stairs wall for a low down, recessed occupancy sensor. All I'd need is OD and ID of the pipe and some idea of the hole pattern you want.

You probably could!

Can you make it all elaborate and fancy so SWMBO thinks it's mega and 'custom' !!?

I don't know why he chose to fit it on an internal join like that.  Anywhere in the shower would have been fine...

Still, it won't take a minute to move.  Would you let the foam go off first?

Well spotted.  I would spring that small board off and move the vent.

The plasterer will thank you for it.

Right !

I’m going to take a ‘z’ attitude ?

Don’t bother replying unless you have something constructive to say or come round and actually do it for me . Don’t comment because you want a like or a thanks . Admins job is to know everything and give 100% accurate advice for free .

There you go.  Five minute job.  What was all the fuss about?

What !!!

I was here at 8:30 ! Took 2 hours a right pain . Access was the issue ( the timber work bodge above it is rather Frankenstein’s monster )

Anyway you are not allowed to reply as your response wasn’t constructive.

Do you get pleasure in your criticism?

Why weren’t you more helpful and come round and do it for me ?

Why do you pick on me and mention my ‘fuss’ ? . Why belittle me and not offer help ?

Do you think you look big and clever now ?

I only ask for help yet you mock me and make me change it .

Sir Whingealot! Everybody else's fault but yours. Next you need to blame your builder/ neighbour / neighbour's cat and how everyone's ganging up on you.

Edit: Sorry, thought the OP was a different person.

Is it me or is that vent slightly off centre?

(Grabs coat and runs).

Do have another question now .

I’m on the bathroom and it’s width is less than a length of plasterboard .

I presume I don’t stagger the board ? - no point is there ?
For the mvhr vent I’ll do a seperate piece , not worth attempting to get the hole in the correct place on an almost full sheet of plasterboard ( success rate near 0 )
