Like that time we played doctors and nurses!

 

You can get close celled foam strip to pack in gaps and the silicone goes on top. Saves it slumping and cuts down on the quantity needed. Used extensively in commercial curtain walling etc. Wedge in nice and tight then pump your stuff over the top:

Too late for this shower tray . But as @Gav_P has worked out - there are plenty of other uses for such a technique !

Shower has both feeds live ( fixed leak on manifold ) . Not sure if there’s the slightest of leaks though . Will leave pressurised overnight .

 

More tanking on the other wall

It’s the brass to hep2o. It’s no biggy . I’ll take the suspect one off - stick 500 rounds of plumbers tape on it and try again .
