  1. Well ! Unsurprisingly though the odd email saying they would call me - nothing . Have emailed them to ask for their final stance on the situation; I did offer up a compromise could be made . Irrespective of who is wrong or right ; you expect some customer service when there’s a problem . Sysop ( aka admin ) am I allowed to name and shame ?
  2. Mmmmm ; some stuff to think about ! my gut instinct on this is 20k labour seems fair . I might end up running the project and get my own trades in . Haven’t got time to attempt any of it - self build is on year 5 and swmbo might execute me ....
  3. He reckoned between 4 and 6 weeks ...

  8. Yes . I have lots of corrospondence showing upstands that I supply . An at cost remake would be an acceptable compromise....
  9. Will try an ‘offer’
  10. I guess this is what I agreed to . But my initial email I gave them the dimensions of the opening- after all that’s the *only* dimension I could give them . I would accept some blame ; but feel they should accept some also . If no movement on their part tomorrow then I’ll mention CCJ . See what a judge thinks ....
  11. Just an email saying “ seems ok “ ...
  12. Didn’t sign anything. Checking back in response to the drawings I emailed and said they were ok .
  13. Well ! A very brief phone call from the boss I assume. Suggesting I make my openings smaller and the drawings are correct . He will call me again tomorrow; seemed rather disinterested . I smell CCJ on the cards - let a judge decide .....
  14. Meanwhile back at the walk on glass debacle ... Should get a call from them today; so we will see what happens....

  24. Ah yes ! direct bank transfer I am afraid so no cover that way . But ( assuming they tell me where to go ) I am fully versed in ccj and high court enforcement ?
  25. The guy I need to speak to isn’t back until Wednesday. But I shall leverage my position as best I can . Assuming they are really good about this and sort it out am I allowed to mention them here ????
