  1. Use it for a ‘feature’ As materials run low I do take this opportunity to remind people I have a surplus of walk on glazing .
  2. Timbers my issue at the moment . Bits n pieces like couplers , screws etc. I just grab from eBay .
  3. Had to stop the team on site and call a meeting . All sat 2 metres apart of course . I told them this was going to be tough but we were in it together. I asked them to reallocate any timber that was being used for ‘non essentials’ for the good of the build . A quick scout around and what was ‘rubbish’ timber now utilised for other projects. First casualty was the hand rail . Keep cool lads , gloves , masks are on the way !
  4. Maybe . It is a push fit coupler so in theory needs no gluing . I needed the lube to get that bugger on !
  5. Think @PeterW said the same . I’ll add it no worries
  6. Yeah . It was tricky ! I need lube to get it on but also need it dry for the tiger seal . Hence why I’m not convinced in this situation it will work . Soon find out . Otherwise a weld as it requires no lube , no sliding , definitely easier . No biggie to cut it out if no good - worth a shot .
  7. Yeah I already planned to add a joint later
  8. Not pretty but done. Not confident - getting the slip coupler fully across is impossible no matter how chamfered and lube. I will leave it a few days to dry . Then I’ll run water down that pan . If that’s ok I’ll block the drain and fill the entire pipe . If it fails I’ll cut the coupler out and weld it - easier to position , no sliding !! It was a good workout though !!
  9. My devils corner still has to grow !
  10. Here’s the paper collection of conflicting crap
  11. What is it with me and glazing ?!?!?
  12. I feel another ccj coming on !
  13. Eclisse have already replied . Obviously want to push this to the seller . I didn’t buy direct from Eclisse as I got a slightly better price elsewhere . So email number 2 on route . Too be fair the seller just sold me the door asked for - I’d been talking to Eclisse in the past and choose from their website .
  14. Irate , rude , obnoxious , blunt , pissy email sent to Eclisse . I’m in a bad mood now .
  15. That’s really appreciated. There are hurdles still to be overcome ( ignoring the lock ) . You are meant to install on the finished floor . But as it’s going in a wall that’s kind of tricky . Tiling the floor is going to be one of the last jobs . So when I get to that I’ve only guessed the door will clear the tiled floor . That’ll be funny if it doesn’t !
  16. £50 quid says once SWMBO realises this I’ll have to put a lock on the bedroom door anyway . What a joke !
  17. This is funny ! privacy glass yes . But if you look through the coloured bits you can see straight in ?????? f ing Eclisse !
  18. Hey my signature has disappeared!!
  19. Oi @Big Jimbo say how lovely it looks to cheer me up ! ?
  20. I know ! F ing mare ! . I’m going to leave it “for now” . Think I’ll go and glue some pipes incorrectly .
  21. Maybe ? https://www.toolsandpartsdirect.co.uk/dewalt-dt20707-multi-tool-blade-titanium-metal-blade-31mm-x-43mm-fits-dcs355-dwe315?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8v7-2pjH6AIViLTtCh2pJQe4EAQYAiABEgIsg_D_BwE I had to buy a set of small spanner’s as there’s no way of getting an adjustable spanner in above door and frame to tighten it
  22. It’s so ill conceived. Months ago I briefly looked at the instructions ( all 4 versions ) and thought f this ! But alas as I have to build a stud wall over the door frame in the ensuite I have to do it some day . SWMBO of course thinks it looks fab ! . It is smart - but installation designed by an idiot . I can drill the steel - but that will look shite . Why they couldn’t supply a decent catch ( strike ? ) plate I don’t know . Then at least it could over up the hole that’s a mess . Not sure what to do on this . Better eBay see if there is a multi tool steel cutter blade . I hate things like this because you only have one chance . ? . I need like 5 attempts before I get it right .
  23. Not sure of ‘nice way’ to cut into the steel . Multi tool blade won’t do it .
  24. The next pita - the lock . Can see how it works . Turn and ‘arm’ comes out and hitched into tuning fork shape . So I’ve got to cut a recess into the steel frame ?!? . I really don’t get the ‘design’ of this entire system . It’s not thought out - everything’s a pita !
  25. I fulfill all the points in that list . But that doesn’t mean I qualify . Perhaps I will and get sent the questionnaire I believe some will get sent - that might ( or might not ) be people’s downfall .
