That looks good - not sure it exists in solvent weld - will check !
-
Maybe - the problem is my WC is near the in ceiling drain , so there’s not much ‘room’ to do a gentle fall .

Ok ! Won’t embed it ! Pea gravel all around and over when I’m ready .

Geberit didn’t even send a “we acknowledge your email “ response ; so I called them . Waste of time - kept saying I need a horizontal extender ( 366.887.16.1) which I don’t . He asked me to explain what I was trying to achieve . As soon as I went outside “geberit world “ he said it wasn’t possible to mix push fit with solvent . I asked him if he had a horizontal drainage pipe in his ceiling would he want geberit push fit or welded ? ? After 5 seconds of silence ( and not promoting a geberit product to me ) he said welded . I guess I was stupid expecting a geberit salesman / technical to be a ‘real world ‘ plumber . Anyway ! I needed a solution so reluctantly and with difficulty can just squeeze a 110m through ...

Main run almost done . Welded with pretty good fall Not sure how I’m going to connect ensuite wc ( hole shows point I’m expecting waste to come through ) - straight to end of main soil run I guess . Assume I’m ok to do a 90 tee right at the end and wc straight into that ...

Yep - chamfer and lube up . Agree it shouldn’t really be black pipe exterior but it’s a short run and will probably get buried in concrete
-
Set myself up for that one !

I use a bit of fairy ?♀️ ?
-
Yeah that was my concern - rather use the geberit supplied fitting initially . Ordered that coupler you linked to earlier - give that a try first .
-
Black pipe wouldn’t fit in a brown pipe coupler . That was the issue ; and I couldn’t weld a black coupler to the brown pipe . The difference in diameter is minimal but enough to cause a problem . I seem to recall some threads on here where 110mm in one make is not the same as 110mm in another make i.e one of them isn’t 110mm .

It’s been suggested ... I would possibly suggest discarding that pan connector/bend and buying a new pan connector either straight and a bend or possibly flexible and coming away from that in solvent soil so it’s all the same . https://www.jtmplumbing.co.uk/pipe-fittings-c433/toilet-pan-connectors-c187/viva-straight-wc-pan-connector-4-110mm-p4704 https://www.jtmplumbing.co.uk/pipe-fittings-c433/toilet-pan-connectors-c187/viva-long-flexible-pan-connector-300-700mm-p6980

Now I looked online for a push fit to solvent weld converter and couldn’t find anything
-
Ooooooo push fit one end solvent the other That’s what I need ! But a straight one .
-
So ! I could take the geberit fitting into a similar grey fitting you have and solvent weld that end to my black 110 soil?? The geberit you show ; just pushed into the grey ?? Must have rubber ring or something surely?
-
@Onoff what did you do here ? You seem to connect into the brown 110 soil - that grey pipe not a push fit onto it is it ??
-
You are right ! Doesn’t solve my problem does it - as I still need to get to solvent weld
-
Hmmmm Hunting - I find this @Nickfromwales suggests the 90/110 reducer ( surely that’s an enlarger ) push fits straight into the 110 soil . Still means I’d have a push fit in my vertical rather than a weld ....
-
Actually do I HAVE to use any of the Geberit supplied pipework?? - can I not just get weldable in the same size? ( assuming geberit is a 'standard' size )? Or is that initial 90 degree tee a Geberit special fitting.....
-
Hmmm, sounds like a problem for another day. I'll email Geberit - they do seem to do weld stuff - so hopefully they have a magic coupler that takes push fit to weld. I'll report back with what they say ; assuming they reply....
-
Yeah I did think that also i.e. downhill away from the push joint, but you know. When I post 5 years from now about this brown stain on my ceiling......?
-
So in my ceiling I’ll have push fit ? ? I really want solvent weld all the way I.e after the pan 90 tee . If I get one of those geberit extenders you linked to I’ll still need push fit at the end which is bad
-
Rains beaten me ! Went for it and removed the crack - just the final connection to go ! Thanks for all the help !
-
Need to look that up . but !!! I managed to force weld fit straight into the access chamber ! By pure luck of course ! So ! Coupler on internal soil to a length of weld pipe ‘push fitted’ into chamber !
