  1. I think getting my stuff to work and communicate will be infinitely easier than your satirical comparison. After all in my world I am the dictator . If one of the 27 devices doesn’t agree it goes in the bin . Sending a firm message that disobedience will not be tolerated . They will be ruled with an iron fist and I can do as I wish with or without their support . Indeed I hold the trump card .
  2. Lol ! My ‘bridge’ will function better than any ‘brexit bridge’ that’s for sure .
  3. Funnily enough Bristol has improved since you left ?
  4. As long as you reboot it every 24 hours ...
  5. Anyway this is MY bridge thread - let’s not get it closed down like my brexit thread ! ???
  6. True . Yes us Bristol folk ( I’m actually Czech - so a nasty descendant of an immigrant ) - we used cheap black labour to fuel our economic growth . What a rainbow mix we all our ?
  7. How you lot ever progressed out the cave I’ll never know !
  8. Not windows then . I guess an ex software engineer will see the fun and beauty in these things . Someone from Cornwall will naturally just chew fudge and moan ???
  9. Ummm and ahhhh HA software is raspberry pi or PC based . The front end designer though is windows based . I tried I really tried to ‘accept’ windows in VM on my i7 Mac . I can’t do it - moving the mouse is making me weep . So ! For not much cash went for a INTEL I7 10TH GEN NUC Plenty of power for HA ; also designer software will run . Now at least I can move the mouse pointer in a Windows environment without swearing ( as much ) . Order placed .
  10. Your setup where it's unboxed in the room he wouldn't allow ( doesn't matter too me ). His argument is a 'flammable' thing could be placed next to it touching. But I agree the amount of 'heat' the actual flue gives off is nominal i.e. unlikely to cause a fire. I guess it's once again "interpretation" of the regs.
  11. Guy who installed it said to box it in and provide an access hatch. He will also supply Co2 alarm. I'm confused why would a flue pipe that's airtight where it bridges the roof etc. need "ventilation" ?. It's not a problem the hatch itself won't be airtight so is ventilation.
  12. Boxing it in soon . Yes ! There will be an access hatch . Yes the timber frame etc. will be 60mm away from flue . Be down soon Mom ...
  13. Yeah but you posted that on Feb 9th ?. I never read back through a thread ?
  14. Ok . So I can cut the celotex back to allow 60mm gap . Do I then fill the gap with Earth wool - I assume it’s non combustible
  15. Do I pack the hole through the ceiling with Earth wool ?
  16. Bollocdroid
  17. Do Welsh cottages have dodgy steps into a loft ?
  18. Yeah but on my phone I’m not zooming in to the page numbers . So it’s just scaled to my screen . ???
  19. I think the concertina steps will do . You can adjust the angle of the incline so that solves the issue of a ‘narrow’ hall . Also they look really sturdy and strong ???
  20. I saw that . It’s page 14 for me ! ?
  21. I’ll order up a cheap hatch / ladder to go between the trusses . Stay tuned !
  22. You should know that . Why build above ground when you can build underground Why have a simple doorbell when you can automate and create more work Why have a hatch and a set of steps when you can cut trusses Why? - If it was easy everyone would do it ?
  23. ? I’m not happy on steps . I need a hatch for access . Also it means I need a set of steps somewhere . Hatch with ladder built in seemed a more elegant solution . Also I wanted to make more work for myself .
  24. Yeah I’ve got that document; there is no page 26 ?
  25. I’m still scared . I have a very shallow warm ‘loft ‘ - no point boarding ; can’t get in there .
