You are right! I stuck my phone over the drain on record then ran downstairs and ran the tap ! Works like a treat ! I guess I was expecting it to be like a ? macerator I.e run on for 4 or 5 seconds . It’s surprisingly quiet . My final question is can I run a washer outlet and dishwasher outlet into the same pipe before going into the macerator or should they each use a seperate macerator inlet ?
-
Well it’s all plumbed up . Ran the tap . Macerator runs for about half a second and stops . Are my pipe ‘angles’ the issue ??

Ok ! I’ll get some . Then when/if it blows I can call you a (expletive deleted)

What's that me old muckker?
-
Are you saying I balls'ed it up? Because that might be correct!
-
Yes. On my pumps for drainage from the dungeon......... Went there oneday ; water spraying everywhere ... jubilee clip had failed....

Think SWMBO now accepts sewage pumping is largely impossible in this situation. So the washing machine will go where the WC would of gone ? Assume for grey water appliances distance from the actual saniflo unit is not an issue ( i.e. washer will be around 3m away ). One less job for me now!
-
That’s what the cubic 1 thing is . But it’s massive in size and cost !!
-
Don't know @ProDave , I was just talking shite
-
Just spoke to Saniflo The sanicube 1 will do what I want!. Though it's around 800 quid and is half a metre square holding tank ?? I did ask if a macerator at the WC went into another macerator 3m away was a dumb idea. HE SAID NO!. It's doable. Though if macerator 2 fails ( not the WC one ) you will have a problem. Though you can get some alarm type system ( I'd integrate that into the HA and have all the speakers shout " (expletive deleted) ALERT, (expletive deleted) ALERT , POO EVERYWHERE "
-
SWMBO has offered a compromise ( at least that's the wording she used ) No one will poo in this toilet! Can you imagine that?. Big sign on the wall "Don't poo in this toilet". All the grand kids come over and deliberately shit in it. Then probably take my sign and flush that aswell. Sigh!. I am doomed. So 2 macerators in the finished kitchen. One for grey water and one solely for the WC with only wee in it ( yeah right! ).
-
Ok. As for the moment I'm just doing grey water I'll be ok. (in theory! ) BUT! SWMBO still wants a downstairs ( underground ) WC! So! What's the highest waste outlet I can have on the WC?. What's the lowest WC inlet on a macerator? I reckon with a bit of luck I might need to run just 3metres of poo pipe from WC to macerator . So assuming the 18mm drop per meter I "only" need 54mm difference from WC outlet to macerator inlet? This right or just wishful thinking??? Where's Uncle (expletive deleted)ing @Nickfromwales when you need him!

Yes and sink/washer etc. But jubilee clips worry me. On a poo macerator surely it's not jubilee clips there also?????
-
All ready to test ! Joint into stack done with tiger seal so need to wait until tomorrow What could possibly go wrong ?
-
That’s what I’d like to do . But not sure what fitting I need to go from the unit to solid weld pipe .
-
Managed to get a 32mm pipe in Still not happy though . Once that pumps it’s basically 1 jubilee clip holding it all in . My experience with jubilee clips is they can loosen over time especially in this situation with pump pressure . Is there nothing more robust I can use ??
-
Hmmm perhaps I’m not meant to cut it off ! Goes in the pipe like this ? ( but you cut it to fit ? ) Even if that’s correct it’s a crap fitting with just one clip on it ! . I don’t like this fitting . Something better I could use ?? ( notice swept floor !! )
-
What am I missing here !? Cut the end off the fitting ( that might be wrong ? ) . But there’s no way a 32mm pipe fits in there . Someone point out my dumbness please ( I’ll blame it on Monday )
-
Sorry 18mm per metre
-
SWMBO was on site today ( worse than bco ! ) . Not impressed at no underground wc . SO ! Supposing I have a geberit type wall cistern what’s the maximum height a toilet can realistically be ? . Then it’s a 10mm fall per metre , yes ??? Trying to see if a ‘high’ toilet will give me enough of a run . Also I notice in the macerator install instructions the ‘output’ on top instead of going straight vertical they always ‘snake’ a bit horizontally then go vertical. Why do that ???

That’s not good enough answer - and there going to know that
