  1. Many thanks all Think my decision will be hot dip galvanised then paint as above
  2. Thanks all Only issue id be concerned with on bitumen paint is it going soft/ tacky in hot weather? Also can a decent finish be achieved?
  3. It’s mainly for the asthetics John to be honest The tallest part approx 11m wide may end 4-5 high worst case Also longer term will make replacing sleepers easier if ever required but going oak so hopefully won’t need to
  4. Retaining wall wise it should be fairly light work around 3 sleepers high Painting was my other option was just trying to get away from having to repaint every couple of years but maybe pay off in the long run by the sounds of it!
  5. Nothing special just matt black ideally. Just the place that can supply the powder coated RSJ’s are saying the powder coat finish will last a very long time which I’m unsure on Sure the football club house we were at today had powder coated beams and surface type rust was coming through which made me think if powder coating is the best way to go in a garden
  6. Afternoon all, Has anyone here used powder coated RSJ’s for a retaining wall? Looking to see if the powder coated route will be better than painted longer term? Reservation is any damage to powder coat will be hard to touch up/ stop flaking etc longer term Cost wise powder does not appear to be a great deal more
  7. Sorry update on this guys! Finally got hold of the original installer and they came out yesterday. Does seem like part of my NVR is fried Not enough voltage to the camera ports I think. They called Serage and they logged in to the NVR remotely and diagnosed so awaiting outcome All the Serage stuff has a 3 year warranty so see what happens!
  8. This was stressful at the time as brick can make or break aesthetics If I did it again I would make more of an effort to mock a small area up before pulling the trigger on bricks Got away with it and bricks settled in nicely, personally I’d rather of had more of a tumbled farmhouse style brick/ less red but had to be something the wife liked as well Maybe would have paid extra for lighter mortar also
  9. Please see attached info for a couple of the devices on the list
  10. Yes says connect fail I'm afraid I’m out at the moment, will try and sort the above when home Many thanks for the help on this, hopefully simple, the strange one is only one camera showing on the system, the other 2 must have power as red lights are on when looking outside
  11. Yes screen shots were from the NVR Do you need a screen shot of the router list?
  12. Yes sorry also logged in to router and the NVR is not showing on there
  13. Just hooked up a monitor but don’t think I really understand enough about it 1 camera working but other 2 are not connected From logging in to the router it does not seem like the nvr is connected as not showing on the list
  14. Yes next step is to get a monitor up there and log in Will update once I’ve sourced a monitor, sorry for the poor explanation, useless with this stuff! But really can’t see it needing all new cameras and NVR at this stage
  15. Still on this one Had a technician round today but couldn’t sort it, says possibly NVR is fried. Not 100% sure as the NVR is making the same noise it always has, and when you plug in to a monitor you can view one camera. My front cameras had a small red light which has now gone off since the tech visit. Going to try and source a monitor myself and have a play as currently being told NVR and cameras will need replacing which I’d rather not do at 2yrs old
  16. Only thinking not Matt as initial flow seems good. I did take the shower head off last night and the filter/ gauze was about 1/4 clogged with plumbers mate type residue. Its had a water softener from new but maybe the head is slightly blocked?
  17. Evening all, We have been in our build just over 2 years now and had a quick question about the shower flow! When you first put the shower on flow/ pressure is really good, then after about 1 minute it seems to reduce a fair bit. our mains pressure seems to be at 2.5 bar and then drops to about 2 bar with a fully open hot tap Cold seems fine and I’ve often felt upstairs it’s too high as when you flush a toilet some of the initial flush water slightly splashes up It looks like there is a PRV on the mains inlet in kitchen but not sure what I can adjust on the cylinder side of things to maybe give better pressure upstairs?
  18. Hedge all in now, not the best of weather for it today!
  19. Awaiting a quote now as follow on Looking over paving options porcelain is not going to give me the look I want with regards to texture/ edge is there much between limestone and sandstone?
  20. Installed the colour coded flush loft hatch yesterday so another job done
