Afternoon all, Another question if anyone has experience I’m looking to use recessed lights in my sleeper retaining wall The wall will be 3 sleepers high, for ease of any issues I’m thinking I should install the lights in the top course of sleepers to keep things accessible? The retaining wall is opposite the kitchen and lounge which both have bi-folds. If I go with a standard type spot light with a 3000k- warm white LED do you think this would cause glare and be too bright? Other option is I use a down lighter which would look nice but guessing won’t light up much of the actual patio space?

All sorted Had an issue with one of the posts so had all the other ones replaced how I wanted The one installed will remain and will use the same style at the other end then tie the sleeper flower bed in by notching the end of the first sleeper like below

It’s not so bad in that orientation but thinking it will look odd when they are the opposite way round for the steps in the middle of the wall as it will skew/ offset everything Will ask in the morning if there was a reason as only one cemented in so far It will really bug me i think Got 6 of them and non refundable I think 😂

Evening all Ive had my RSJs delivered and they are starting to be installed but I don’t think the corner posts are correct Would there be a reason for them to be made in this way?

Next up patio! Been holding off for a while as saving the pennies! Plan is about 4m off from the back of the house Site is on a slight slope so oak sleeper retaining wall across the back with steps in the middle recessed spot lights in sleepers matt black RSJ’s to mount the sleepers in Gone for a tumbled limestone similar to the interior to keep a cottage theme/ look will be around 80m2 in total going down each side of the house and section behind the garage
