  1. Have you got the Zehnder comfo control app it will show actual usage, my Zehnder Q450 uses about 40w, I tried it on boost and was 75w then I changed to Max ventilation 167w. This is mine the supply and exhaust need tweaking when I get around to it. Our house is 260sq m and a bit better than building regs.
  2. Yes I think it is a manufacturing default but getting them to admit it is another thing. I think the MDF backing is not glued or compressed very welland does separate in layers. I am planning on tiling most of it in a 2 or 3 years when we can afford it.
  3. I think it is the same as manufacturer as mine Krono 12mm, the kitchen I did glue all the joints as I did want it fairly water resistant and it is fine with no issues. The hallway is doing what yours has. You could see if you can move the joints apart on the ends (I can move the whole row of boards and seperate the joints by kicking the top of the board with trainers on) and glue the ends, I have managed to on the bad ones.
  4. What sort make of flooring is it. I have put down some cheap laminate in our downstairs which has done this, I hoped it would last about 5 years as with 2 young boys you never know what's going to happen. It is just badly made unfortunately as you can walk over the joins and see the flex.
  5. I used the Easyslates on a garage, they were quite easy to fit and and stops any water going sideways off the join with the thin plastic upstands. The only way it could go is to the top of the slate.
  6. As @Russell griffithssaid do not use cling film stuff, I spent about 5 hours 1 evening until 11pm getting up about 1.5sq/m before the customers furniture turned up the next day for them to move in. Antinox and tape to edges cut back for skirting, it will not stop damage from dropping sharp or heavy things, do not cut anything on it either as is no protection to a knife. Hardboard is a good idea
  7. I bought these for our house. https://thehomeofinteriors.co.uk/product/rolls-neo-metal-curtain-pole-35mm-stud/ I could probably just hang off them, the kids have not damaged them either. They also have more substantial ones as well but not cheap. Ours are more than sturdy enough.
  8. It was not to bad😁 and the house is 260sq meters which helps, just having a 8 and 3 year old and trying to keep it safe for them was the main concern. The outside was a typical building site so had to make a temporary patio and fenced off area so the youngest did not escape.
  9. We moved in with a the kitchen breakfast room finished, 3 bedrooms and 1 ensuite. We had the stairs fitted but the hall landing not finished as well as most other rooms. The building inspector was not bothered, he said it was up to us. Our site insurance covered us but we had to get separate contents insurance. We lived here 2 years before final sign off and fortunately HMRC paid out last month on the VAT.
  10. 1 With our reclaim I just put a line through items not being reclaimed and wrote the new VAT total for the invoice. 2 I did not have any queries so I don't know. 3 I believe it is up to the date you send off your claim within 3 months after br sign off. Ours was 2 1/2 months after br sign off, I don't think I had any purchases in that time. We also had been living there 2 years so I don't know if I got lucky or they are being more reasonable now. 4 We were paid in 2 weeks from the date we sent off the claim off. We got paid everything we claimed for.
  11. We had both addresses, some stuff was delivered to our home address just made sure our name was on the invoices. We just put a letter in explaining the addresses and change of site name as it was a knock down and rebuild.
  12. Hi @Conor I just filled in the move in date of 26th June 2021 and hoped for the best. We did not get the valuation letter until November 2021 so that was to late anyway, Fortunately they paid it all out. Also a picture of our house, it's still not finished. But getting there.
  13. Hi I have been lurking on here for quite a while but not got involved. Just a update our on VAT reclaim and our time frame. We knocked down previous bungalow and started our new build in July 2019, we moved in in June 2021. The house was not anywhere near finished but we had a kitchen and 1 ensuite. We eventually managed to get building regulations sign off 1st June 2023 (we were worried about Hmrc and being lived in for 2 years). VAT reclaim posted off on 21st August 2023 for about 21k, had a confirmation text and letter on the 29th August confirming they have received it and should hear within 6 weeks. I received another text yesterday (1st September) while on holiday saying your DIY refund has been issued, I thought it had been refused as it all sounded to quick. We got home today to find the package from Hmrc with a letter confirming that the full VAT reclaim will be paid 21k. I checked my bank account and it was paid yesterday. I can't believe it was less than 2 weeks with and 480 invoices and no deductions. Even though I have not contributed the help in this forum has been very helpful Thank you.
