I haven’t chosen an ASHP yet any recommendations? I don’t know what R290 is I’m afraid. the ASHP will only run 55m2 UFH downstairs ( one zone all open plan except the utility which I won’t have UFH in , so a bit less than 55) and the DHW which it’s only a two bed and three of us living there so not a high demand will want to top up the heating the DHW with the solar on the roof . Any recommendations welcome 🙏 Thanks

The neighbours closest window is ground floor the other side of our driveway so about 4.5m from where the ASHP is shown I haven’t chosen an ASHP yet so not sure on size

The planners are stipulating it 😂

this is what they have said …. The installation of an acoustic barrier to the front of the ASPH. The acoustic barrier should be built to the minimum specification: A mass of 10 kg/m2, at a height where there is no line of sight from the ASHP to the neighbouring bedroom window. It must be of solid construction with no air gaps We feel that a condition to this effect is reasonable to protect residential amenity.

Hi anyone got any experience or suggestions on an enclosure for an ASHP … planning insisted on something even though it’s 4 m from our neighbours nearest window 🤦🏻♂️

There seems to be loads of different types of Sto … which one did you go for ?

Hi Likely to build a small two bed in Exmouth Devon later this year . We are only 10 minutes walk to the beach ( yes I know lucky us) my question is which Render to use . The front of the house is north facing and we will be constructing a MBC timber frame . is K- render the way to go? What about the cork render ? Which is less maintenance and less likely to crack etc … or is there something else? thanks

Hi have got the dimensions of this area please , as I’m going to have quite a tight squeeze in my small utility room. Would be great to see how much space you’re set up is using and if you’re set on the DHW tank and MVHR units thanks

Early days but I’m looking at building a small two bed timber framed house in Exmouth. The company I plan to use would put in a raft slab. One of the things they would require is a basic soil sample . 1.soil type 2. Ground bearing capacity 3 if it was clay the plasticity 4 If clay the clays volume change potential anyone can recommend someone for this in the Devon area please thanks

I have a small two bed project for later this year and would like some advice please on lighting. I know I need a mix of task ambiance etc but also want to have them all dimmable and controlled via an app and switch. anyone advise on who can help with a plan and what I need to look at, so when I have an electrician I can at least have some ideas. layouts should be something like below. Will need to consider outside as well but I’ll concentrate on inside first 🙏

Hi ill be looking for a recommendation or two for a good slate roofer for later in the year . Preferably one with good velux fitting experience . Small build hip roof nothing complicated. Any advice gratefully received thanks 🙏

Yes, possibly like a loft hatch to reveal a short ladder to get up to the 1.7m fill of the roof light ??
-
Anyone know if it’s acceptable to have a ladder to reach base of escape Velux if it’s at 1.7m instead of the 1.1m on first floor ?
-
has anyone resolved this? Can linked alarms solve this on their own ? the bottom of my velux’s are 4.4 m above ground level and the first floor is 2.7m above ground level

Not sure what mcs020 is and yes there is a window about 5m away … or it’s a long run from the back garden wall where the kitchen is ? Thoughts
-
Good question, architect has not mentioned that so I suspect that will need to be addressed
-
Not sure but internally the space is 9300mm x 6000mm
