Hi All
Just working through options for MVHR
Rega Vent have come up as a no nonsense option but i am keen to get the views of the forum on quality, noise and installation.
Any thoughts or alternatives would be gratefully received.
Merry Xmas.
Bob
Hi
Looks like our TF frame will be going up in the winter.
As it will no doubt be exposed to wet and windy weather i wonder what the forum would advise in terms of keeping the weather out whilst we wait for roof / windows / cladding etc.
Many thanks
BartW
Many thanks for sharing this - it is exactly the debate i am having (with myself!) at the moment.
I would really like to achieve a hidden gutter but the presence of a wooden frame and cladding are starting to get me worried about water ingress.
On the section a couple of quick questions ...
- How are you going to run the downpipes (perhaps you have a convenient gable end to work that into?)
- Will your wooden cladding be exposed at the top or capped off by the gutter flashing somehow ?
- What are you laying over the GRP on the roof ?
Many thanks for your thoughts / time in advance
Bob
HI
I would be really interested to see how MCB designed in the hidden gutter
@Bartw or laurenco - if you had time to share i would really appreciate it
thanks
Thanks Simon
Just a follow on question - who did you go for on windows and rooflights ?
Also is your cladding / roof going on after the window install (just trying to clarify the sequence in my plan)
Many Thanks
So i guess it is absolutely possible to build the frame to fit the windows !!
I am a little nervous about ordering off the MBC plans - any advice on how to make sure the windows and frame come together as well as yours ?
thanks
Many thanks for the confirmation - we will go for order off the drawings.
Any views on best window supplier for MBC frame - so far we have quotes from Internorm, Norrsken and Klober - all reassuringly expensive !
Hi All
We have a condition to install a BAT loft.
It has to be 5x4x2 under a tiled roof.
I wonder if anyone has experience of building up this type of thing and tips to ensure we get it right / don't fall foul of the rules !
Many thanks
Hi All
We are heading down the MBC route and trying to decide when to order the windows.
Options seems to be;
1) Order off the MBC drawings
2) Wait until frame erected and order off the actual measured openings
The issue is lead times are around 5 months and we don't want the frame standing in the rain !
Any thoughts from the forum would be greatly appreciated.
