You say you cannot afford an EV, but can you afford, or at least willing to pay for, any car that costs the same as a Zoe, around £30,000. I bought my last new car back in 1990. Cost £11k. The updated model is now £21k. Edit: Just checked the price, seems it is £27k for the equivalent model, 21 was the basic 'hire car' trim.
