ToughButterCup Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Getting any old 150mm screws (Crosshead, POSI) is easy. But I would like to use Torx screws because of my digital deviance. (Too long a story ) And I'm tearing my remaining hair out trying to source T25 Torx screws 150mm. Ideas?
Mr Punter Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 https://www.toolstation.com/forgefast-multi-purpose-self-drilling-wood-screw/p34893 any good?
ToughButterCup Posted March 25, 2019 Author Posted March 25, 2019 Oh for "%^&*()_!" sake..... I'm really tired - obviously. Thanks Ian

The good positive drive even at slightly jaunty angles is brilliant!
Ed Davies Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 “Torx bit in every box” If that's not an impact bit, what would the effect of using it in an impact driver be? Just that it wouldn't last long or worse?
Cpd Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 I have found that torx screw heads are very forgiving on non specific impact bits, the fit is just so much better and as long as you go steady they seem to hold up just fine. 1
SiBee Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 CPC also sell them, sometimes cheaper than the usual suspects. Depot in Preston may not be too far for you to collect? Search: Reisser concrete frame screws, various pack size and length options are available. Hope that helps
