Weebles
We are looking at putting in shower recesses into our showers. Are these prefab boxes worth it? https://www.kerdi-board.co.uk/shower-niche.aspx https://www.pureadhesion.co.uk/marmox-niche-300x400x100mm.html If so, anyone got any preference? Thanks

SiBee
Never seen these but they are a good idea. Without checking the details myself, do they com3 in different s dims? 85mm is shallow once tiled. I made my own (marmot and orbry board) Openings with tile sizes in mind to try and limit cut edges and to fit mosaics. I did hav3 the luxury of a large cavity Edited May 30, 2020 by SiBee Added pics

Why spend stupid amounts of money on something that requires tanking ANYWAY? If you want something waterproof then cement board ( Aqua panel etc ) is a one-up option but if you’re tanking is still overkill imo. Ive a 1/4 century of high-end bathroom installs under my belt btw, so am not making these comments without care and confidence.
Onoff
Made mine under instruction of His Highness the Welsh Wizard: Timber frame: Lined with Aquapanel: Tanked: If you want a really big pocket you likely won't get a former anyway.
Pocster
They are expensive for what they are . But takes 2 mins to install . They have a collar that surrounds them which I’ve yet to install . Joints on the board have some special mix you use . Boards are described as water resistant rather than water proof . Still if the water has got past your tiles / grout / Mastik you’re in trouble anyway .

I reckon I could fill my tanked pockets up like a pond.
