Crofter Posted July 24, 2016 Share Posted July 24, 2016 My walls comprise 145mm studs with OSB outside, and I will be fully filling this with mineral or glass wool, with an unbroken PIR layer inside of that. I assume that I need to use cavity wall batts as ordinary rolled insulation would slump too much. However everything I have found online is only 455mm wide- my studs are at 600mm centres so the gap is 555mm. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ProDave Posted July 24, 2016 Share Posted July 24, 2016 Late to this thread, been out today. Knauf Earthwool Frametherm 35 on a roll. It's much stiffer then "ordinary" roll insulation. I am using two layers of 90mm thick, but it also comes in a 150mm thick roll that should do you. They also do it as bats if you really want that, but I can't see anything wrong with the roll stuff/ I got a very good price for it from SIG in Inverness.
