Hey all

must be being thick !

got one of these works great ! . But in breaker mode the vibration shakes the battery lose .

I assumed the metal clip was a lock to hold the battery in . But looking at it ; doesn’t seem to do anything !! ?

So ! What’s it for ? - and how do stop the battery shaking loose ???

cheers

You have an X rated drill with a flexi thingy. The mind boggles as to what you are doing with that! ?

Big bit of kit that!

Looks the the same slide mechanism on the battery as the rest of the XR range inc 18v never had the problem of the battery sliding out on anything i own but I don't have a breaker.  I always thought the little metal clips was for hanging of the belt for the john wayne pose!

I've a Makita 18V drill that kept throwing the battery out. Turns out the drill body is broken one side where the battery slides in.

Only a hand me down drill from a sparks sadly passed away. I got it in a box of bits and all it seemed to need was a fwd/rev lever. When the battery started throwing out I found he'd carefully repaired it at some time. It will throw one side of the battery out then the broken bit closes up making it almost impossible to figure why.
