Nother roofing Virgin question.... felting

I've nearly finished the South bit of our roof.

 

And there's 250 mm left to do...... bloody architect's made the roof too big. And Kloeber have made the felt roll too narrow. 

 

Do I really have to make a massive overlap (1.25 m) on the (in my case) bottom run of felt?

Cut a strip to width. Use the offcut for the same bit on the other side.

roll out the strip, cut it off long enough to do the longest side, roll it back up and cut It in the middle, should give you a nice straight cut.

... and hide the cut edge under the overlap from above otherwise you will always see a raggedy edge and you know your Germanic  OCD won't like that... ?

Do you have eaves trays?, felt or membrane should not go into gutter as it is not UV stable (and looks  horrible and flaps in the wind )
