GrantMcscott Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Hi Had building control out to do to sign off my house and one of the things he asked for was the steel performance certificate. The issue is I do not have this and the company that supplied the steel do not have the records now as it has been over 5 years since the kit builder purchased it. The company that purchased it have now went into liquidation and disappeared. I have spoken to building control and they are not sure of a way around the issue, also have mailed my architect and they are not sure either. Has anyone come across something like this and how to rectify the problem. thanks for any help
SteamyTea Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Make one up. Failing that, who was the project manager and who were their insurer. Edited 1 hour ago by SteamyTea
saveasteading Posted 32 minutes ago Posted 32 minutes ago A letter from whoever saw it being built, ie SE or Arch, saying that it isn't usual to require this and it was 5 years ago but from visual inspection at the time this was industry standard material. Bco can file that.
