Electricity tariffs

Anybody with ASHP using the British Gas heat pump tariff, it looks similar to octopus cosy but without the peak rate premium. 
what’s the catch. 
are the standing charges huge.

So cosy is cheaper and you get better user experience if you need to speak to anyone etc.

Octopus has just put a £75 exit fee in place on new policies.

So has most other companies if you want any fixed price tariff.

 

But luckily I fixed in September for a year. Hopefully everything will have stabilised or normalised by then.

But ridiculously dear between 4pm and 7pm the exact time we come in and bang the oven on. 
have you found the savings at off peak times make up for that high peak time rate ?

or do ovens not suck as much as I’m thinking they used to.

Battery - so only pay 15p max for electric.

 

But air fryer most evenings instead of a big oven (only two of us)
