Square Feet Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I'll just put the links to the YouTube vids I am talking about here in case it helps anyone in future. He goes over every step including the flashing. I don’t know if GSE actually supports this panel size? Here's a video re landscape install of the GSE trays. I haven't watched it so apologies if it isn't helpful.
Nickfromwales Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago A lot of conflict between ever changing panel sizes, and trays. Both GSE and Easy roof seem slow to get newer sizes through MCS for them to become certified and distributed. Not sure if that's improved recently, but defo something you need to have in check before you order panels / trays. 1

The only thing listed on our MCS cert from a 2015 FIT system is the panels themselves, not even the inverter is listed let alone any mounting.

A lot of people look the other way here tbh. MCS is largely about safety, fixing types, and (in a nutshell) not having solar PV arrays all around the UK flying off in a storm and killing anyone. Stainless fixings only, into timber for the S hooks etc. If this was left ungoverned you’d have people zip tying them to slate hooks…..

From a materials perspective it's a disaster waiting to happen. Aluminium and stainless are not best of friends. Aluminium being a sacrificial anode to stainless.
