Husqvarna stone saw popping and flames out of muffler?

Recommended Posts

I used my husqvarna stone saw yesterday and noticed that it was occasionally popping and I could see flames coming out the muffler.  I replaced the rings and fitted a new genuine carburettor at the same time.  Does anyone know what might be the issue or how to diagnose it?

May have a winter summer switch, to change the carb settings. In winter it could be running really lean.

Unburnt fuel possibly, you changed the carb, are these preset at manufacture?  Is the old carb Knicknacked, if not I’d be tempted to pop it back on and see what happens

The carb was left on the manufacturer's settings.  The old carb is long gone.

I am just impressed that you used a noisy ICE powered tool on New Years Day.

Glad you are not my neighbour, but it has inspired me to do more noisy things on a Sunday morning, I feel like upsetting my neighbours who have got into the habit of parking on the white, demarcation lines in the parking area.  On a good day, I cannot open my car doors.

(expletive deleted)ing wankers.

It was actually New Years Eve day, but I do wish I was more brazen about getting cracking on and not worrying about the neighbours.
