BotusBuild Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I know there's been a number of threads on this. I'm in need of something that will detect the plastic webs inside a Nudura wall now that they are plastered. I have been recommended to get a density based finder, but without a particular model being stated. I have used a magnet held loosely in my hand to detect the plasterboard screws but this is a time thief method, and demands you need to have a reasonable idea where to start. Thanks team
SteamyTea Posted April 16 Posted April 16 The proper term is densimeter. https://www.anton-paar.com/uk-en/products/details/portable-density-meter-dmatm-35-basic/
BotusBuild Posted April 16 Author Posted April 16 🙂 Not what I had in mind, and not the price I had in mind either 🙂
FuerteStu Posted April 16 Posted April 16 Magnetise some iron fillings and dust the wall with them? That will find your screws quickly 1
Thorfun Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I use the magnet trick to great success. Doesn’t take too long to find one and then I know the centre spacing from there. 1
