SteamyTea Posted June 10, 2025 Posted June 10, 2025 I am bored of this, may come back when it gets to page 27.
Pocster Posted June 10, 2025 Author Posted June 10, 2025 More pages , more content , more fun . Like a Netflix series with too many episodes only to get to a drab finale . Suspense and wonder are the key !
ToughButterCup Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Just back from a trip to a very wet place in Bonnie Scotland. Talking to a home owner with an external, windward wall - completely covered in pitch. The covering was so old, it had a fine patina of whitish dust on it (sand grains from the nearby dunes ?) "Why's that then?" "Eh Jimmie, hov' ya seen how mooch it rains here, eh ?" And I thought of you. 1

Pocster Posted June 11, 2025 Author Posted June 11, 2025 Episode 19 - “ that muvver fecker “ Story recap : After witnessing extreme violence and scenes of a sexual nature Pocster decides to take matters into his own hands . The mistress threatens to announce their relationship to the world - causing tension . Pocster concludes the only way is forwards towards his inevitable fate …. Rotten tomatoes rating : 99% Average journalist rating : 2% Isolated further - and made it leak … That gate post asphalt needs a closer look once I get the Ali decking supports up
Pocster Posted June 11, 2025 Author Posted June 11, 2025 The latest suspect ; these seams . Too wet inside to retest . Tomorrow is rain and storms so no good either . Have expanding foam so will build a little perimeter barrier around this area then fill it up .
ToughButterCup Posted June 11, 2025 Posted June 11, 2025 Well son, looking at those photos, I reckon you've done well to have just a small leak. A small impudent watery area. A leaklet . A UsedToBeDry. A damp bit. A damp Brizzle. Ermmm, while your on here mate , ermmmm .... how old's the felt? Just askin' for a friend..... cos you might want to be ..... nah, can't say it...... leave it to @Onoff or someone like him - someone credible....

I was told the felt isn’t the waterproof layer … I suspect those gaps in the felt have always been there as it’s always leaked ! SBS-modified bitumen - self healing ; the felt as I was told was not needed but added to ‘physical ‘ damage to protect the underlying layer . I guess there’s a poor joint around this gate post . Pocster Posted June 11, 2025 Author Posted June 11, 2025 Maybe 5 yrs . Don’t know . Less than 10 though 😊

Pocster Posted June 13, 2025 Author Posted June 13, 2025 Dry day . So built my perimeter . leave it a few hours then will test the outside edge to check water tight . If so will fill that little pond of mine .
Pocster Posted June 13, 2025 Author Posted June 13, 2025 (edited) Hmmmm . 30 mins . I top it up as it drops . But my perimeter probably isn’t 100% waterproof . Inside is damp from previous rain - but no droplets of water …. 🫤 Edited June 13, 2025 by Pocster
Pocster Posted June 13, 2025 Author Posted June 13, 2025 So I flooded this bit . Right at the front ; all water will run this way , nothing …..
Pocster Posted June 13, 2025 Author Posted June 13, 2025 I guess next is to foam isolate from the existing foam down towards this front bit and make another dam
Pocster Posted June 13, 2025 Author Posted June 13, 2025 Changed my mind . Out of frustration isolated the corner and a seam in the asphalt…
Pocster Posted June 13, 2025 Author Posted June 13, 2025 Foam expanded over the seam I want to test 🙄 Rain soon - foam will be cured by then but no good testing
Pocster Posted June 13, 2025 Author Posted June 13, 2025 (edited) Bastards about to drip !!! So it’s one ( or both ! ) of these points . It would seem static water is an issue - leaks much slower than moving water ?? So those 2 extra foam perimeters still curing are probably obsolete- but I’ll leave them . I need to foam isolate that front bit tomorrow so it doesn’t run over the block paving . I’ll pick that one as my 1st test tomorrow ( assuming no rain ) . Going to persist with that one continually …. Edited June 13, 2025 by Pocster Making content
Pocster Posted June 13, 2025 Author Posted June 13, 2025 Pocster to Earth - are you receiving me ? Anyone there ???
