Macfracam
We are working up plans for a new self-build and the drawings have the MVHR external vent just around a corner from the patio seating area outside the kitchen/dining room. Is that ok or are these vents quite noisy?

SteamyTea
Are you going to have BBQs nearby?

The smell of burning flesh throughout the house will alert everyone to the fact that the food is over-ready. Lovely. 😕

Nearly everything I cook in our restaurant goes in the oven.
G and J
Oh, where’s your sense of adventure. And in the plus side, maybe food poisoning increases one’s biome diversity. 😉

Is that ok or are these vents quite noisy? They can be quite noisy. Like a desk fan. It’s a constant noise obviously rather than on/off. Round a corner and you’ll likely not hear it. Because it’s constant, if you could hear it over time it’ll likely merge in with the background noise. If you can find someone who has MVHR it would be worth seeing if you could go and hear it for yourself.
Benpointer
We could hardly hear ours. Very quiet, almost silent.
