joe90 Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I have found a local neighbour/plumber who is going to help with my UFH and he suggested hiring a pipe clipping tool but I have failed to find anyone who hires them out. Any suggestions.?
Onoff Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Staple gun is what you want to search for: http://hire.travisperkins.co.uk/hire/productDetails.asp?levelID=280&i=6&img=1862
joe90 Posted November 10, 2017 Author Posted November 10, 2017 Cheers mate, I have TP near me in Bude, never thought of them, I traulled all the local hire places to no avail.
joe90 Posted November 10, 2017 Author Posted November 10, 2017 Did find one for £95 or offer on Ebay but £27 a week is better ?
CC45 Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I never bothered with them - you can push them into celotex. Hand was sore by the end.
dpmiller Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I've one sitting doing nothing at the moment. Something to add to the forum loan scheme?

joe90 Posted November 16, 2017 Author Posted November 16, 2017 Turns out that even Travis Perkins can’t get one locally and they will only source one for me if I have an account with them ?. dpmiller I have sent you a private message.
SuperJohnG Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Just opening this back up - Wunda delivered me a bunch of staples that go with the gun however I didn't buy the gun. Is it worth getting it? (100 plus VAT I think). They said theyll send me the thumb staples...but I imagine that'll I'll have a really sore thumb after laying 1km of pipe....
joe90 Posted February 1, 2021 Author Posted February 1, 2021 @SuperJohnG, there is one for loan from the forum, I know I borrowed it and posted it on (can’t remember who had it next). 1

Gav_P Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 I just used my thumb... and after that got sore my toe (in a shoe of course). it took me longer to get the pipe at the correct angle into the manifold than it took me to lay and staple all the pipe work.
Gav_P Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Oh also the is the pipe spinny thing that is part of the ‘pool borrowing’ stash - it helps spool out the pipe... which can bit a bit annoying to do by hand.
