Hello everyone,

I hope you can help with your precious advice.

I am rewiring my house and I was asked to move forniture. Do you know if electricians are supposed to move themselves sofas and beds?

I just want to know if this is supposed to be part of the work electricians normally do during rewiring.

No they are not removal men, i would want empty rooms, and even carpet pulled back.

We've got some electricians in at the moment and while they will move stuff for themselves, they also charge for moving furniture. I think you will end up paying more to have electricians to do work which isn't as technically demanding.

I make it clear I charge by the hour.  So would you rather pay me at an electricians rate per hour to move furniture, or would you rather move it yourself and pay me less?
