Dreadnaught Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Trying to decide on basin wastes: "Flip" vs "click-clack" vs "pop up". Has anyone got one of these? I wonder what they are like in reality. Looks quite nice. (It's a McAlpine BW60SPH-CB). It's a McAlpine BW60SPH-CB.
SiBee Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 That’s interesting. The flips I have used get stuck as they must expand a bit with heat transfer. Click clacks never seem to work and pop up controls are not an option with every tap. Go for it and report back😁 we have just started an en suite refurbishment due to a hidden leak
ProDave Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 We have click clack and no problems. Have prevously had problems with plugs operated by some form of remote control from a lever on the tap, not least if you you need to replace the tap you have to replace the waste as well.

Expand They're usually in high-end hotels etc, very nice tbh and no complexity / multi-component failures that often go with these things. In absolute honesty these are the least of anyone's worries, as they are changed for a new (replacement) in around 15-20 mins or so. More of a worry for the bath if boxed in, or the shower unit if tiled in on a flush floor arrangement. 1
