Benpointer Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 (edited) Is The Building Centre, Store Street, Bloomsbury, London - worth a visit? We're were thinking of going along for some ideas about the pros and cons of various construction methods but wondering if it may be just a promotion site for a few companies. Redbeard Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 (edited) +1 to Gloomsbury! Wonderful belly-laugh sort of humour. Edited September 1, 2024 by Redbeard
Russell griffiths Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 If you live in Dorset then you need to go to the self build centre in Swindon Wiltshire. amazing place that doesn’t get the praise it deserves. 1

The NSBRC in Swindon is a lot better. Are you in Dorset? 1
Benpointer Posted September 24, 2024 Author Posted September 24, 2024 Thanks, sorry, missed the replies to this. Will give the Gloomsbury place a miss and visit the Swindon centre. And yes we're in north Dorset, just trying to close out our plot purchase near Shaftesbury. Thanks all 1

gravelld Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 I chanced across this place on Monday on a visit to London. It's interesting but is more aimed at the undergrad I think. The normal high minded thoughts and some parts have a focus on retrofit but nothing really practical, i.e. how we make it affordable to the 99%. There are a few exhibits from manufacturers. Probably the best thing about it is Store Street Espresso is just up the road.
