Been renovating a Hrade 2 listed building for around 6 years now, had builders to start with but had to sack them as wasting time, money and rubbish job. Installed 22kW gshp and all running well, now istalling off grid solar and a little confused about how to go fro 3 phase to 3 separate single phase consumer boards.

We asked  for dno apprpval but local supply can't support us, wanted 50k to put us on 3 phase. Hence Solar and off grid.

Iscthere anyonecwho supplies correct kit to go from 200amp 3 phase split down andcsupplying up to 80 amp on any single leg?

 

Picture, link or really good description would be much appreciated.

Solar is 48 panels of 410w to 3 x 10kW inverters in parallel. 6 x 100amp 52v batteries in series linked to all 3 inverters, Master and 2 slaves.

Output will be from the single master inverter.

We will end up off grid. Soon as Solar is running. Don't want ENW to have anything from us!!

I'm confused by this question. Do you already have three phase? If so just put 3 CUs on it, one per phase.

Do you want to meter each phase separately? 

 

Where does the 200amp 3phase requirement come from? 

 

Ability to go off grid depends a lot on you daily load and tolerance for occasional outage. 30kWh battery wouldn't get us (family of 2) through the winter without regular blackouts.

Why do you need 3 phase?  And yes where does the 200A come from?  100A is easy, standard domestic consumer units and switchgear.

If you are going off grid - why worry about the DNO connection - simply limit export if you have an oversupply, set it to 3.68kW which is allowable without any permission.  You'll miss out out on export in the summer though which might be lucrative with all that solar.

That would supply up to 12 single phase boards, 4 from each phase.

Mines a 100A Supply, but similar to the above unit, and feeding 2 phases within the house.

Sure? '...anything....'  not even if you sell it to them?  And Off-grid via solar (as part of a package)  in Cumbria ?  That'll be the shaft of sunlight I can see on the Southern Fells  from here on Clougha Pike then 🫠

 

And what are you going to do with the little bits of power generated that are under the (self consume) charge threshold. Take a day like today. Just tiddly bits of power generated, but all below the 800W threshold our EDDI requires before it stokes the fires in our SunAmp.  OK, small bits of power, but over time that'll be a worth a night in the pub with the family. Pernikety? Me?
