nod
The government have announced that more money will be allocated to HPs Im quite happy with the £7500 grant towards an 11KW HP Which makes cheaper than fitting a gas boiler But could this go further Back in 2008 just as the recession hit I worked on a site of 120 homes All had HPs With a grant of £3500 per property Which covered the cost So the builder wasn’t out of pocket
Mr Punter
I am building 3 flats and thinking to fit gas boilers and leave it to future owners to fit heat pumps as I would not qualify for the grant but they will.

Very expensive without the grant We would of had 5.7 k for gas connection Which more than covers the rest of the cost after the grant

UFH or radiators. So on a new build the extra cost is the cost of the heat pump, and HW cylinder less the cost of the gas boiler you would have fitted and less the cost of the no longer needed gas connection. I defy anyone to show me any sums that suggests that is going to be more than a couple of £

saveasteading
Because they want headlines. Because they don't understand the way it works in the slightest. Because the big developers who have the government's ear, will get a lot of the money?
