Tom
Hi all, looking at buying the membrane to cover our nudura walls. These walls will be battened, then the membrane put on, then batten over the top, so there will be an air space behind the membrane. I've been looking at the Tyvek Housewrap but this says it "Should be surface applied, fixed directly to sheathing ply /OSB, insulation or blockwork". Is it OK to use stapled to battens, or should I be looking for something else? Thanks all
Mr Punter
Why not membrane tight to the walls, then batten?
Tom
It's what the I was advised to do by my local Nudura distributor
Mr Punter
What is the purpose of the proposed membrane? Is it a Nudura standard detail?
ToughButterCup
Ours is fixed to the wall.. . It's good, not Rat Proof, but good all the same.
FM2015
What purpose is this membrane meant to be performing on the exterior of ICF exactly?

Maybe it is not as great as they claim. They do a weather proof paint as well. https://www.nudura.com/products/tremco-nudura-products/
BotusBuild
I have to do this, then put a metal mesh, then a scratch coat before I can fit stone slips (think big tiles). I need to think about this too. Might ask the stone slip Co.
