richo106
Hi All I have a bit of a dilemma if anyone could have any input on, I have a couple of double skin walls that needs internal doors fitting (100mm block, 100mm cavity, 100mm block) The architect has shown them on the outside skin, which i think will look the best but the joiner whos helping me with the doors that he normally hangs them on the inside so they can open fully Any ideas or thoughts would be much appreciated Many Thanks
Temp
I'd go with your joiners suggestion. I think having the recess on the hall side also looks better.
nod
I wouldn’t agree with either I’d put it in central
Mr Punter
I like it so that when the door is closed it is on the same line as the wall it opens into and only the architrave protrudes.
ETC
Inside for all doors. No architraves in the hall unless you line the recess and put architraves on both sides.
richo106
Thank you very much for all the replies, I am going to put them on the inside as my joiner and most of you guys said. Thanks again
