CalvinHobbes
Groundsman has told me I will be getting the job of folding the radon barrier and I am sure he mentioned it needs cut. Someone else had told me ages ago not to cut it, just fold. Bit confused and don't want to look up wrong info. Can you tell me best practice? nod
Your better just folding it in on itself I’ve seen them done both ways it and taped looks neater But it’ doesn’t need to look pretty Just be airtight
Iceverge
Ours was cut and welded onsite. Seemed a bit of an overkill TBH.

SteamyTea
Radon is a large atom, number 86, the outer electrons are not held very tight to the nucleus, and that is where the problem is, in part. Half of it will decay every 4 days. So best no chance of holes or splits in the barrier.

I folded inside corners and taped outside corners and it took ages. A Hot air gun is your friend

I did use a roller a bit but found a roller is not great if the thing your rolling against is rough, like blocks are.
Miek
The hot air gun helps the tape stretch, flex and stick better
