New access to croft

HI all,

 

I am creating new access to my croft and submitting more plans, now the access has to conform to Planning Authority legislation and i just cannot seem to find this?

 

I have Googled, and read through a stack of legislation but to no avail.

 

Any guidance would be helpful as i just need the legislation and a few curves on my site map.

Visibility Splay is the term you need to search your councils planning website for their requirements.

Easy to find. Google Highways, sightlines.

The principle is that you are sitting in your car, so you are low down and back from the road. How far can you see each way? It depends on the road speed, but you could make a special case if the road could not be driven at that speed.

From a quick look, the fundamentals are the same, both referring to the same document.

The one I used. 
 

Search the local planning portal to see some examples. However, if you follow that document it’s straightforward.
