Just got a quote for rendering my new buid and it is £34,100 for about 150 sqm I know there is some complex bits and a lot of windows but though this sounded very expensive

strip existing scaffolding.
: supply and erect scaffolding.
: cover all windows and doors .
: bond all blockwork .
: fix new render beads .
: apply first coat adhesive render with anti crack fibre mesh.
: supply and fix new render topcoat materials.
: silicon seal all windows and joints on completion of works.
: skip all building waste.
QUOTE £34,100.

I have my own Kwikstage scafolding here but he want to use his own it does not cover the whole house but enough to do the bits where he is rendering.

I was expecting about betwenn £50 and £80 Sqm

Most of my site work is around £55 m2

We obviously don’t get involved in scaffolding

150 m2 Should be a week Tops

There’s a bit of sheeting up

But far from awkward

If it’s concrete block

I wouldn’t bother with a scratch coat

Looks about a weeks work for a gang

Hi yes it is all block where it is getting rendered

It doesn’t need mesh and scratch coat

It’s worth adding mesh above and below the windows But that can go on with the beads

We tend to only use mesh on high suction blocks or roughcast

Or if we want to bump the price up

Just kidding 😁

So there’s a saving there

Probably about a third

Depends what type of house it is, ie timber frame, sips or block?
