markc
Gun nails will hold very well, but really comes down to preference and how much you want to spend. Gun nailing will be much much faster than screws and pretty much invisible but if you want to see nice straight rows of screw heads then it’s going to be much slower and fixing costs will increase dramatically
Iceverge
Partially threaded screws won't split the wood like fully threaded ones. Ask me how I know........
gc100
I used a nail gun. Nails bury themselves into the wood so I hardly notify them unless im looking
Dave Jones
check what nails he is using, second fit nailer are usually brads and have no head which will be no good.
JohnMo
I used 34 deg Stainless Steel Framing Nails - 50 x 2.8mm RSS. From Alpha Pneumatic Supplies. About £50 a box, used a normal nail gun, with a flat foot/shoe thing, so I didn't damage the wood.
