Shabby finish around electric boxes

New build in progress.

This is one of the best finishes around electrical boxes. Some have giant gashes in the plasterboard.

Main contractor brings in trades. Electrician is otherwise very obliging.

Qu: Whose responsibility is it to repair the damaged bits?

Depends what the plastering was like. If the boxes were full of skim, it would be difficult for a sparky not to damage.

Was the wall skimmed before or after the electrician fitted the back boxes?

 

In any event the defect is trivial, a little filler to replace the plaster that has chipped off and touch up the paint.

I buy these by the thousand 

Some companies won’t pay the extra most do 0 patching very tidy finish 

Simply skim over them 30 minutes per house to fit
