Ralph
I need garage storage but don't have the time or inclination to build my own. Has anyone used those garage shelving sets you get on the likes of Big Dug? Were they any good and do you have recommendations?
dpmiller
I've just been through this for my own big shed, and ended up getting some bays of used longspan which gives loads of space. 2.5m bays.
markc
We have loads of the 1.5m and 2m bay fairly cheap stuff in our parts rooms and they have been fantastic. Don’t go for the really cheap 900mm stuff as this is made of material thinner than meccano

Gone West
16 hours ago, Ralph said: Were they any good and do you have recommendations? We bought our shed racking in 2010 from Rapid Racking and it's still going strong. We bought the basic grey metalwork and fitted our own chipboard. It fits together quickly with a mallet, no bolts needed. https://www.rapidracking.com/en/rra/rapid-shelving-range#productBeginIndex:0&
jack
We used rapid racking too. Can't remember which flavour - maybe the one above their base level? - but it's absolutely rock solid. The chipboard shelves probably won't last forever, but easy enough to replace (probably with thicker plywood) in due course.
