Stone Slips is there a way to breach DPC Safely

Hi

As the title would like my stone slips to go to the ground.  This would mean breaching the DPC which is not advisable but is there a safe way to do it.

We left enough DPC sticking out, so we could have DPC between the slips that are above and below it.

Yes this would of been a good idea but this has not been done

yes, build in a vertical DPC/cavity tray.

I’m doing mine with a liquid dpm as the natural stone is not flat. 
so 3-4 courses of stone then painted on dpm then carry on up in stone.
