CH_18
As per the title, has anyone got any preference to which metal webbed joist manufacturer they prefer to use? From what I've been told, the mitek posi-joist system allows the designer to use staggered and single sided metal webbing on the design software? Looking at the design I've had it looks like some joists are staggered and not full length, which makes me think could be inferior in strength to the Wolf easi-joists maybe? Any ideas/input would be great, cheers
Oz07
Never got that far into it. Fair play for being so detailed. Most just spec a maximum deflection.
Russell griffiths
I think your bigger problem will be cost, and finding somebody to do them to your timescale. You want to design a floor where all the metal struts are inline throughout the floor, if not it plays hell with getting services through.

I never thought of that, good tip mate
Faz
If you are doing MHRV it is best to let them complete their first fix through the posi joists before the plumbers and sparks - keeps the bends to a minimum so there is less chance of air noise.
