taggs101
Hi looking for some advice as to what is an acceptable job, I've had my roof completely re-tiled felted and battened. The tiles to kick up on bonding gutter, putting ridge out, the roofing company say its because there's bow / sweep in the middle of my roof and its not part of their job to level it up. I would of thought getting the roof level before tiling would of been a given, they are supposedly a reputable company, I really don't know if I'm being too picky or its a shoddy job. Any help would be most appreciated. Cheers
Russell griffiths
That’s standard, your roof has sagged, but the section over the party wall hasn’t. You would need a roofing carpenter to strip all your rafters to take that bow out, adding thousands to the job.
Bonner
Perfectly acceptable on an older house. Assuming it rises up at the other end as well? If it is a gable end, it should kick up slightly to avoid shedding rain water down the wall.
joe90
+1 acceptable, neighbours concrete tiles are thicker than yours so yours has to kick up to meet them ?
