  1. Hi looking for some advice regards the fall on my recently done grp roof. I am aware that under BS 6229 there is a requirement for a certain amount fall ( 1:80 ) to account for ponding etc, to be honest I've no idea how to confirm wether or not my roof meets the minimum fall. My roofer is not the easiest person to deal with and just says its fine, give me my money. The roof is 2310mm deep, there are a number of areas that have dips even though its all new osb, lots of ponding and standing water. I've put a level on it and from front to back there's a 30mm difference. From the little I've manged to pick up from here and google etc I suspect the difference should be in the region of 50mm, I would be most grateful if anybody could offer some advice. Cheers
  2. tried to convince her a few times but she recon's her side is fine !
  3. ye I'm the grp, the roofer reckons fibre onto felt is fine and he's not for trying to do something different, not paid yet so its becoming a bit of a stand off.
  4. not tons, but I really don't like the way the fibre glass is attached to the felt, supposedly it will give way over time, plus if the felt moves it will crack the joint.
  5. Does this look the correct way to join grp to felt ? my roofer seems to think so, i'm not so sure. Any advice would be most welcome. Cheers
  6. I've had two flat roofs on my dormer totally stripped, re-boarded and covered with Cromar grp, its only been done a week and there's already standing water. There is a fall on both roof's but they have a dip near the edge, I've pulled the roofing company about it and there response was simply "its a flat roof what do you expect" surely this can't be right. Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks
  7. Hi looking for some advice as to what is an acceptable job, I've had my roof completely re-tiled felted and battened. The tiles to kick up on bonding gutter, putting ridge out, the roofing company say its because there's bow / sweep in the middle of my roof and its not part of their job to level it up. I would of thought getting the roof level before tiling would of been a given, they are supposedly a reputable company, I really don't know if I'm being too picky or its a shoddy job. Any help would be most appreciated. Cheers
