Russell griffiths
And they wonder why I buy everything on line. I currently have around 4-5 deliveries a day and nothing is coming from a local supplier apart from toolstation for odds and sods. Im so pissed off with pricing lately that if I get my invoice for my account and it is high compared to online I just take the stuff back for a refund. Mr Punter
Sometimes I have get decent prices from merchants but you just need to be on their backs all the time or they charge a stupid amount for the same thing you have already had.
PeterW
Had an amusing exchange with Jewsons just before Christmas for a job where there are 28 pallets of bricks - they are delivered weekly in 6 pack drops and are half way through and were priced on the full 28 packs. They are all in the yard, and all marked up with the site name so they don’t go elsewhere, and they tried to put a 4.5% increase on them from 4th January til I pointed out the email from the branch manager agreeing the price and delivery schedule ...!! ”But the central accounting team say we have to increase the prices ......” Suffice to say, they are all coming as agreed and at the price agreed - assuming it stops snowing !! Russell griffiths
Just had a bit of a rant in the plumbers merchants, I don’t understand who makes up the pricing so I went in and spent £2000 on pipe and fittings, I then went back to buy something different and the price was high so I had a moan i was told that they apply a discount on my next purchase based on what I had bought previously so the next time I buy pipe it will be cheaper i told the idiot that I won’t want anymore pipe, what I want is a discount on the bloody £10,000 I’m going to spend on 4 bathrooms. joe90
When I opened my account with the local builders merchant I told him what I predicted to spend and that my main contractor also had an account with them which would supply his input for our job, the manager agreed I could have the same discount as my builder, result ?
