canalsiderenovation
Is this something I should be worried about? Checked the manual and this is the explanation. Is it to do with the legionnaire setting? Our solar isn't connected yet with the immersion PV diverter but the heat pump was commissioned so presume this should be working? ProDave
Simple solution for now is turn the legionairs cycle off.

I've just ok'd the error for now and it's gone off. I presume this is sufficient for now. When we get our solar pv immersion up and running I presume this won't be an issue then as temps will frequently get high enough...

We had a discussion on here and concluded if you are fed by treated mains water and have an unvented hot water tank, then there really is no risk of legionaires so no need to heat the tank hot periodically. so I have mine turned off, and if the solar PV heats it hotter on a good day then that is a bonus.

joe90
I also don’t do a legionella cycle due to not one single case of the disease in domestic properties (this info from a previous thread ).
PeterW
Ok so crossed wires here.... When the PV is commissioned and the diverter is also installed, there is a connection to allow the ASHP to trigger the immersion to boost. You can just leave it and it will do it once a month, or you can get the plumber to remove the setting from the programme. Currently as it’s installed the relay has clicked “on” to do the cycle but the the heater engaged and the temperature hasn’t moved so it’s thrown the error after a couple of hours. Another lovely install “feature” your plumber forgot to tell you about ....

I know, don't get me started! I did message him and he said to clear it and it should be working but to contact Alto as they did the commission and set up and it's their issue and its all part of the package. We currently have our ensuite not working as the toilet isn't taking tissue or solids and there is a bad smell (we noticed this on the first night and it took 4 flushes).... It's the only toilet he supplied the cistern for as it's in the Roper Rhodes unit we supplied. Other two toilets are fine.

If you use a bucket of water does it all go away like it should?

The smell is really odd I don't think it's sewage perhaps stagnant water?
George
I don't know whether you fixed this but I had the same error. Immersion needs to cycle up to 60 degrees to kill off any bugs once a week. My problem was the HWC thermostat had been knocked a bit so kept reading a lower temperature than it should have. I poked it in a bit further and taped it in place. Has been fine (and got a jump in COP as presumably the heat pump had kept overheating the HWC trying to get to stay at 50 degrees which is the normal target temp).
